The first round of the south german championship was held at the club MCC TĂĽrkheim last weekend. Team XRAY was represented by myself and Dionys Stadler. Practice started Saturday morning. After arriving at the track I started to tune in my brand new NT1 car and got much track experience. The weather was not beautiful sometimes it was raining a little bit, which makes the track slippery and cost me time to find a good setup for this track.
In qualifying we struggled to find a good engine and clutch package, which we resolved after three runs. I managed to qualify 2nd on the grid, which gave me a good spot in the 30 minute final.
In the main final everybody was driving really fair. I was fighting a lot with Steve Baumgarten for the lead. In the end I was able to take the victory with a one lap gap to second position. I want to thank my Dad and Hartmut Rose for a perfect job as my pit crew. It was a great first race with the new NT1 car and I am looking forward to the upcoming races. See you at the track!
